as I recall, Steven Brown took an electronic music class at San Francisco City College.Our teacher was also named Mr. Brown as I remember.The synthisizers were as large as a battleship with six mathematicians inside with sharp pencils.

A comment to the attention of the person who posted this video: this DOC tv show dates from March 24, 1988. So you were right about the year ;-) This show was recorded when Tuxedomoon were on their "Reunion tour" that brought them around the world (including Japan) in 1987-88. You'll find lots of details about this in the 476-page book I published last year about Tuxedomoon and entitled "Music For Vagabonds - The Tuxedomoon Chronicles"
