Although to me colour is generally irrelevant, I'm a white guy that loves Mr Prior's energy & genius within his comedy. As has been mentioned, he (& other masters of comedy) tackled serious issues & social injustice, in a way that was subtly to the point... He got you thinking as well as laughing, made you comfortable whilst handling an otherwise uncomfortable subject. He was, & forever shall be, one of the best in my opinion. Gave a lot of love & received it also. Thanks for posting. xXx o:)

If you look at people who are considered the "best comedians of all time," people like Pryor, Carlin, Hicks, and so on, they thing that makes all of them different is that although they made irrelevant silly jokes that don't have any meaning and are just funny, every one of them and all the other "best" always attacked big issues and talked about something serious. Obviously, they were hilarious while doing it, but they always had a deeper thought in there. Then, they just go back to silliness.
