Description: This video/footage was created and owned solely by © 2009 Cedar Fair Entertainment Company. Magnum XL-200 A true legend! The Magnum XL-200 at Cedar Point didn't just break world records when it opened in 1989 - it shattered them! Standing an amazing 205 feet above the Earth below and cruising at a top speed of 72 mph, this scream machine was the tallest and fastest roller coaster ever created when it debuted in 1989. As impressive as those statistics are, coaster enthusiasts will tell you the element that makes Magnum truly a coaster king is its "airtime!" That feeling of floating over each of the ride?s intense hills helps make Magnum one of the greatest coasters of all time. The Magnum is a traditional "out and back" coaster that features 5,106 feet of track that winds its way over Soak City and along the Lake Erie shoreline, giving riders an unparalleled view of the lake and the Cedar Point skyline. In 2005, the Magnum XL-200 was voted No. 3 in the "Best Steel Roller Coaster in the World" category in a poll conducted by Amusement Today. In only 17 seasons, Magnum has given more than 34 million guests a ride to remember. In 2005 alone, 1,888,539 guests rode Magnum. Riders must be at least 48 inches tall.

Proud to call this my first rollercoaster ride ever!!! It was a blast! Once I got off I got right back on! :D

i went on this in september and my friend though we were going to die when we got to the top of the first hill. oh goshh good times. im going on memorial day and this or the mean streak is going to be my first ride!! :)

My little brother and I went on this ride when we were a lot younger and we didn't realize how big it was until it pulled out and all you could see was this huge hill...my brother wouldn't go on any other rollercoaster in the park after it he was like tramautized by it hahaah

How do more birds not get hit by rollercoasters

Wow you're a right cunt aren't you.

i got on my first roller coaster when i was 4 :P no offence but just saying WOW......

Me and My brother and sister when on this like 20 times in a row right before the parked closed! We only went that many times because we wanted to get a good picture!

Can't wait to go on may 18th. I'm 13 and I will be going on my first roller coaster. :D can not wait!

What the fuck?! I can't see what's going on!!! Fuck you and your camera.

Truth is the first time i went to Cedar Point i was 10.I truly love the park. My favorite rollercoaster was the Magnum because it was the first coaster i ever rode. I was scared untill we got to the top of the hill. Since then we have gone every year.

Im 12 and me and my best friend+mom went on it! after the first hill its not soooo bad!

Go to Magic Mountain.

i wish i can ride all the rides there but i live in california

i remember the first time i went on this i was like 6 or 7 and i cried but loved it now i have been on all but the Dragster and th Maintis but i plan to go on both next time i go also the first time i went my moms cell phone flew out of her pocket and was hovering in the air but in the end it fel backdown and was saved!

i rode it and on the first drop my butt lifted of the seat!

i love the little argument at the end

this rise wouldve been awesome but the lap bar was clamping down really hard on my left leg........so it was hard to enjoy the ride......

Ron Toomer will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
